A memorial service will be held in 2024. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Grace Lutheran Church (202 W. Grand Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54703). 

Joan B. Larson, age 95, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2023 while in comfort care at Mayo Clinic Health System - Eau Claire.

Joan was born to the late Loyd and Edith (Reese) Gilbert in Eau Claire in 1928. She married Raymond Sather in 1946. After Ray's death, she married Gerald Larson of Eau Claire. That union lasted for 25 years until Gerry's death in 2008.

Joan will be missed by her son, Greg; stepsons, Todd and Kirk; stepdaughter, Vickie; step daughter-in-law, Sabrina; goddaughter, Jane; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren from her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, son, Jeff; step son, Tim; step son-in-law, Mike, and her siblings.

The family wants to thank the staff at Mayo Clinic for their compassionate care.
